When we went to Jackson Hole a few years ago we stumbled upon a free Jon Pardy concert which was tons of fun. Just to be with the locals, listen to some country music and enjoy the breath taking backdrop of the mountains, it doesn’t get more Jackson Hole than that.

Check for the weekend you’re there and see what’s going on. There are kid friendly activities, rodeo shows, concerts, venues and plenty more, especially during the summer or the holiday season.
3. Experience a Dude Ranch
For a true western experience, head to one of the area’s renowned dude ranches. A stay at a dude ranch lets families step into the shoes of a cowboy (or cowgirl) for a few days, offering activities like horseback riding, fishing, and even cattle drives.

One of the best things I did in Jackson Hole was go the wildlife museum. I am a huge advocate and proponent of a healthy wildlife and anything about it I love and love to support. In this museum there are incredible artworks of local wildlife from Bears to Moose.
The museum has a great mix of art and education that will truly captivate you. The exhibits feature amazing works of art that highlight wildlife and the natural world, and the museum offers special children’s programs and family events as well, making it a wonderful place for families to learn about wildlife conservation and see some amazing art. If you’re in Jackson Hole with kids, this is a great spot to take them.

7. Go skiing or snowboarding in the winter
