2. Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur (Hot Dog Vendor)

I know it sounds crazy and I didn’t even know this until a went to Iceland. But Iceland is very famous for their hot dogs! No trip to Reykjavik would be complete without sampling Iceland’s most iconic street food: the hot dog. And there’s no better place to enjoy this beloved delicacy than Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur. Tucked away in a humble hot dog stand near the old harbor, Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur has been serving up mouthwatering hot dogs since 1937. Made with a blend of beef, lamb, and pork, topped with crispy fried onions, sweet mustard, and remoulade sauce, these hot dogs are a true taste sensation. Join the locals and visitors alike who flock to Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur for a quick and delicious bite that captures the essence of Icelandic street food culture

3. Hlemmur Food Hall

If you’re looking for a great meal, I highly recommend the lamb. They are famous for their lamb and wow did it not disappoint. Hlemmur food hall is a fantastic place to eat. They have almost a dozen different restaurants inside ranging from tacos, to fine dining, to pizza, to fish etc. Really anything you could want. We ate there twice and got the tacos one time and got the lamb the next. Along with the food they have many different drink options from unique Icelandic beer or homemade cocktails or if you’re looking for a classic, they have those as well. You can have some desert with some locally made ice cream as well in the food hall.
