As an Avid Traveler the past six years and counting, I have found a lot of different sites and items that make my travels much easier. From clothing and packing essentials to the best airlines and websites.

Below I wanted to make it easy for you get some awesome travel equipment and resources. Everything I recommend I personally use and would not recommend it if it’s something I don’t believe in.

What to pack?

Cotopaxi bag – By far my favorite backpack. Cotopaxi is an awesome brand with lots of different options and styles. They can be used everyday and when traveling. Just took this on every hike in Utah. Very durable, easy on the shoulders and can hold a lot without feeling too heavy. I loved it and well worth the money.

Cotopaxi Rain Jacket – I got my girlfriend a Cotopaxi rain jacket for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. It’s very vibrant colors, light weight, water proof, sweat resistant and cool as well so you don’t overheat in it. Great quality brand.

Waterfly Bag – A sling bag my girlfriend uses when traveling or going out. Very light, comfortable and easy to carry. Perfect for hikes or even walking around the city or going out. These are pretty cheap as well!

Patagonia – Awesome hiking shorts. Fit great, very light, sweat resistance, zippered pockets so nothing falls out and they look awesome too!

Carhart Coat – I will not go outside in the fall or winter without my Carhart. Best winter coat there is. if you’re hiking in the mountains of Banff or Colorado in the winter, your Carhart will keep you super warm, without being too heavy. The warmest coat there is.

Hydro flask – The best and only water bottle you need. It’s like my travel buddy. I go everywhere with my Hydro Flask and of course cover it in stickers of places I’ve been too. Keeps your water ice cold for hours! Super durable and washes easy.

National Parks Pass – If you plan on going to more than 3 National Parks this year then getting the National Park pass is totally worth it. If you’re going to do Utah’s big 5 then you will absolutely need to buy the pass. Only $80 and you get to go to the parks for a full year!

REI – One of my favorite stores for hiking and outdoor adventure. They got everything from camping equipment, hiking snacks, shorts, water bottles, jackets, bags, camel backs, hiking poles you name it and you can find it at REI

Where to Book?

Viator – I use Viator for everything when it comes to booking our tours. They have tons of options at great costs and you will always find something fun and unique to do there.

Airbnb – If you know me you know how much I love Airbnb and will always recommend it over a fancy hotel. If you’re trying to cut costs, then booking an Airbnb is the way to go. Planning a group trip? Airbnb is the way to go.

Expedia – I pretty much book all my flights and cars through Expedia. They make it super easy to find the cheapest and most convenient flight for you. The site is super to easy to use as well, and you can filter through the rental car you want as well. I think it’s a myth going direct is cheaper because I’ve always had cheaper prices going through Expedia.

Chase Sapphire Preferred Card – The Chase Sapphire preferred is the card I use for my travel. They have a great sign-up bonus right now worth 100,000 points ($1000 credit) if you spend $4000 in the first 3 months of buying the card. Use this card for everything and you could have your entire vacation paid for!
